FMA is an established manga with a humongous following. Kamiaso has nothing left after that, and this is a small tiny niche series. Fanworks are another different field and that’s for themselves to work on, this is an official series and that is up for the developers to decide if it is still relevant and profitable or not. Anime needs timing, money, a lot of factors, some of these small series are just not profitable or gaining of an audience, tough luck no matter how much you like it. Anime schedules need to make way for better and more popular works, kamiaso has always been just a niche one cour thing, there is just nothing more to it already.
